NAME: Persian Kilim
 SKU: 17715

Senneh rugs are hand knotted by the Kurds who live in or around the town of Senneh (now known as Sanandaj) in Western Iran. Rugs and kelims from this area are prized for their detail pattern and coloring and fine weave.  Their patterns are quite classical. ‘Herati’ and the ‘boteh’ patterns are both commonly used with red  & dark blue colors dominating  Senneh rugs. They are by far the most sophisticated of all the Kurdish rugs. Senneh kelims are considered the best kelims in Iran.
